Thank you for stopping by this blog of mine. My name is Tia and I was born and raised in Wisconsin, but now live in beautiful Phoenix, AZ with my husband. I’m a self-proclaimed foodie
wannabe and in addition love all things that are related to healthy living. Most food that I make or eat, I tend to spin into healthier versions. Although sometimes a girl just needs to eat some pizza or french fries and I don’t lose sleep over it when that happens. I believe in healthy habits AND indulgence! Life is too short. I try to follow an 80/20 approach, but some weeks it’s 70/30, 60/40…you get the idea. My goal is to eat as healthy as possible, but if I fail at a meal (or two), I don’t beat myself up about it. My ultimate goal is balance! I recently discovered I have a severe gluten intolerance so occasionally I blog about the journey of balancing my gluten intolerance dilemma with being a normal person and still enjoying the food that I want.
I love the creativity of cooking and I try to find inspiration from various cookbooks & cooking shows, other bloggers and websites, Instagram and Pinterest. I like to experiment with various herbs, oils, spices and anything else that will add flavor, texture and color. Following a recipe is usually just a foundation for me as I typically end up jazzing it up the way I want to. In addition to cooking, I love checking out new restaurants, new health trends, new fitness routines and pretty much anything food and wine related.
I graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in September 2015 as a certified health coach and am excited to have the opportunity to help others learn and get excited about healthy living. If I can be of any help, please feel free to contact me.
